I had bought a domain from hioxindia, the domain name was recentinfo.com. I had bought it with an offer price for first year. But when I wanted to transfer out the domain they asked for a huge price for renewal and transfer, I had no option other than let the domain go. Never trust it for long time projects.
I belive you might have tried to transfer during manual restoration period or some issue like that. HIOX India is one of the very genuine players in the market. They have no hidden charges too.
The domain offers are meant for first year and its transparent in the website about the pricing.. This domain name RecentInfo.com registered in 23.5.2014. We do not hesitate or block any customers who are transferring the domains and its always open for transfers. Its false comment saying we charge on transfers.

The domain recentinfo.com has been purchased with the offer pricing and hence it cant be transferred to any other registrar unless its renewed for 1 year atleast. Else you will have to pay the difference cost to unlock or receive the auth code of the domain.
Very valuable review. I wanted to buy a domain from hiox but now I dont buy with this non-transparent domain registrar company. hiox should mention in it clearly in the product transfer tnc.
